Position-Specific Points

Our system also includes position-specific bonuses to balance the value of different player roles:

  • Point Guards (PG): Extra points for assists (+2.5) and steals (+3.5), higher penalties for turnovers (-1.5).
  • Shooting Guards (SG): Extra points for three-pointers (+1) and steals (+3.2), points scored valued at 1.2 each.
  • Small Forwards (SF): Universal value across all actions, higher bonus for Double-Double (+6).
  • Power Forwards (PF): Extra points for rebounds (+1.5), blocked shots (+3.2), and shots in the paint (+1.2).
  • Centers (C): Extra points for rebounds (+1.3) and blocked shots (+3.5), with higher bonuses for shooting percentage.
